I think it was brought up in one of the PC newsletters once. Or maybe just in one of the many "stories".

I mean I may have thought it was a good point. I think it went along the lines of this: Even if you tell the truth, a hurtful remark is still hurtful.

I'm curious because I, on a daily basis; am exposed to really cruel and malicious comments from voices.

Edit: I guess I'm not sure what point I am making

Are you hearing “voices”...perhaps auditory hallucinations saying malicious things? That would be psychosis.

I’m not familiar with the article, however.

Since we're on the topic of voices... I remember there was a topic where someone made a list of distinct types of voices. Can anyone point me to it?

Yes, some abuses are subtle and sophisticated
Psychopaths are known to guise their abuse really well - it's in their tone of voice. Sometimes, even their tone of voice can guise the anger so well
Or (not just psychopaths) in the form of advice, yet said aggressively towards the receipt
