Rhapsody, I find it hard to express myself so that people don’t automatically interpret my words to mean “every” man/woman. I can understand why some men/women might see my words as hurtful. When I write, I am not generalizing. I am writing about extremely difficult topics and my thoughts are not really on how all men or all women are going to feel about my writings. Its about me being hurt, abused…its about my life and my recovery. I see that with you.

It's not really all that difficult to say "some men", "the men I know", "some women", "some women I know". It's a more clear form of communication, and if we want our point to me made, rather than someone nit picking at what it way and getting their hackles up, it's better for everyone.
