I have a very weak sense of self, and have trouble understanding who I am. So I make these different personas. Trying to be more opinionated, skilled at a certain thing, or maybe try to fit into a certain style. But the problem with that is IÂ’m easily influenced, so I change viewpoints and opinions a lot, which confuses people.
I have had this problem since 9th grade. I lie to both myself and others to make myself seem more interesting because i donÂ’t feel like I have to ability to be my own person. I lack interests and hobbies. I get invested in something, then completely bored of it in an endless cycle. I also lack close relationships with people because itÂ’s usually unstable as well. Everything is very frustrating and confusing. I try really hard to understand how people socialize so well, keep hobbies, and believe in themselves so strongly, but IÂ’m at a loss. :/ |

Hi ajisalone . I think it's basically a case of knowing your likes and dislikes, your views and principles on things, and for that you need to be very self honest. And then having the self acceptance, the will, to be able to stand by those views and opinions, principles - which represent the inner self of who you are, your self identity, and then you simply interact with others from that vantage point. Take into consideration what I've just said and I think you'll begin to see the real you emerging over time. It'll be okay, you'll see.
