I just heard that Renu contact lens cleaner is being taken off the shelves....because alot of people who use it have been in contact with an infection that can cause blindness...and others have needed surgery and eye replacements....or just eye removals....it affects the cornia and its very damaging......i dont know if this is late and everyone knows about this but at least i put it out there.....

Wow InACorner, where did you read that? My son's eye doctor just gave him that 2 days ago and said the problem was people trying to reuse their old solution. Said that it would be fine as long as you changed your solution daily and your lenses case every few months.

Very interested in hearing more! Since I have three bottles of the stuff in the bathroom right now and three kids with contacts.

I use Renu Multipurpose solution .......... but have not experienced any infections.

I do change my solution every time I wear my lenses (which isn't every single day).

Yes, you're right, according to kids Opt. the solution must be changed after each use. Never ever reuse.

well my x bfs brother uses renu too.....i dont know how the infection is started or anything i just heard it.....but we took the renu from his brother because we figure its safe than sorry......
