I did not want to add this to my good thanksgiving story cause it just meeses the whole thing up! LOL
As luck would have it daughter is home from college for thanksgiving. Ever since she started college last year she has been ill. Coughing is always involved.
She does not smoke. DOes not party. Has really good grades. I think she partyed once. LOL
LAst christmas she came home with mono."by the way no bot friend either" So she was peoed she got mono. LOL
She was home 2 weekends ago had to take her to our Dr cause she was sick again.
Now she is coughing again, ENdless cough, SHes scared she says she feels like grandmom who had empasima "spelled wrong"
Have given her puffer thing to try to slow it down till we get there. Shes 19, she says its not fair as its endless. When at college she is sick 80% of the time. Also could use her tonsils out.
Please say a little prayer for her. I am going with her asking for chest x ray. To add to it her blood presure is high......

Asthma is so on the rise! I got it a couple years ago at 53. No fun. I'm glad it was almost that "simple". The prednisone is okay for the 6 days, it's just the people who have to "stay" on it that get really bad problems. I've been on it for 2 asthma problems where I've had to go to the ER/doctor. Maybe now she'll be feeling better at school!

You all are in my prayers.

hydrocodone cough syrup taken at night before bed really helps with that type of a cough, that is one of my primary asthma symptoms, a cough. I never realized that asthma could manifest as a cough until i had it.

I swear by echanicia (sp?) with golden seal. Great emune (sp?) system boaster and even effective when in the throughs of it.

My son has asthma and it always triggers a cough and sinus congestion. First sign of a symptom... laboured breathing, dry congestion and we're putting drops in juice 3 or 4 times a day. Lots of liquids... especially water is key for asthma. Specially in winter when the heat gets turned on in the house.... specially if its forced air or wood stove heat. The worst conditions for an asthmatic.

Hope she starts to feel better soon. My prayers are with her and your family.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
