I don't like it.

Makes me feel that I shouldn't be starting a new thread if I am not asking a question. Talk about unnecessary guilt am i seeing things ?

Oh, good, I thought it had always said that in some forums and I had only thought it said the other and hadn't noticed :-)

I saw it too. Not sure I like it either. I'm not always asking a question. Sometimes I am just sharing something.

Ok....so I figure it this way....verbally I will ask the question "Why do I have to ask a question???" am i seeing things ? Then I will post whatever I want....does that work for anyone else? I sure hope so!

I know how little changes can throw us off sometimes. We are such creatures of habit. I guess the way I try to look at change is as a challenge...don't know if anyone else can do that. Maybe some of us just aren't up for challenges or changes eh? Not to worry folks....just keep on keepin' on!

Much love & respect to all!

it kinda puts a different spin on things but in agreement with Sabrina and Kerry... what about the new members.. feeling pressured to frame their posts in such a way may deter... some have difficuty expressing anything at all...

I don't think I care what it says as long as it lets me say what I have to say :-)

Huh? Everything I do and participate in is about ME, 110% (and I ain't overly narcisstic either :-)

Do you mean do other people besides members read this? Yes. But only members can post.

I don't mind the "ask a question" as it makes me think more before I post, the question I ask being "what is it I want to say, why am I posting" and keeps me a little more "serious" in intent.

I don't know. For me, people post or they don't post. If they don't post they're "imaginary" because I can't see them! When I first saw the "ask a question" it didn't "make sense" since I wasn't asking a question :-) Nowadays I always evaluate things along the line of "I'm the right size, it's the pants that don't fit". If something doesn't make a lot of sense to me (if I question it :-) then I pretty much ignore it as if it's not there rather than get all tangled up in it. I don't like not understanding so I "refuse" to see what I don't/can't understand.

You can say more, nowheretorun, I'm not trying to push your buttons but if I do, I have a fine, cool misting spray for myself to go with your flamethrower :-)

No, they are not imaginary but you and I can't speak for them! I'd be highly offended if I were lurking and people started considering "me" when they have no idea whether I'm really there (or came, took a look, shook my head and said, "nope, not interested") or what I'm about and what problems I may or may not have. I'm "against" finishing other people's sentences and answering questions with other people's names on them. You and I do not have a "problem" with however DocJohn decides to word things on this site. People online/here cannot be that fragile about how a title is worded and "make it" here (or anywhere)?

i'm not hot about this... i understand who runs the site.. if someone is not a member yet... we should still consider them... it's consideration and compassion that encourages them to join... and i don't think we have enough members yet... there's no shortages of pain to go along with inspiration... really... i think others views matter, so i'm shutting up now... i appreciate your thoughtfulness..
