I went to the hospital for 2 days, but I only remember the first few hours and then leaving. How could I have blacked out for 2 days? I was experiencing psychosis from an manic episode. Has this happened to anyone else?

When I get too manic I don't remember everything but can't say I've blacked out.

I blacked out at least once during my hospitalization from manic psychosis. Over the years, as time goes by, I remember less and less from my three-week stay.

I stayed in the hospital one time 12 years ago. I do believe I blacked out at some points. There's things I can't remember. I was dealing with psychosis / deep depression and anxiety, and the hospital made it worse.

There's a lot I wouldn't have remembered about the hospital if I hadn't written four blog posts about it right after I went home. I can't say I blacked out, but I did have some psychosis going and my mind is blank in some spots.

Yes, that can happen. Sorry that happened to you, too
