Well, my fiance WILL be going to Police Academy on the 6th of January! He's been pretty cranky lately so it will be nice for him to be gone for a while.

The day before Thanksgiving someone tried to break into our apartment. We had installed some safety "noise makers" which actually scared the person away. I haven't been able to sleep whenever my finace works nights. The apartment we live in has no security and I know for a fact that there are drug dealers here.

We will be moving the 25th of January, so I will be at the apartment for 19 days alone while my fiance is away at academy. I hope I can make it that long with out him, at least he gets 3 days off after every 4 days of working so I can catch up on my sleep then. I have a conceal carry permit, but no gun... I know lots of people say that there is a large chance your gun can be turned on you. I just don't know.

Anyhow I'm very excited to move, it's a really nice place. It's a two bedroom like we're in now but it's gated and has garages for cars. It also has a washer and dryer IN the unit, two sinks in the master bath AND a separate guest bath!

Congratulations to the Police Academy getter-inner and you and for getting a better place, next year etc.

Scary living in a scary place. I know one place I lived was fine when we moved in but then got really bad after we moved out; we had a friend who stayed for awhile. Too bad you don't know any neighbors? It was great having a friend next door, made me feel much safer.

Thanks, yah I really don't have any friends here other than my fiance. There isn't really anyone my age that I work with...we're split between a bunch of buildings and the people my age are in the other building!!! Although I love my fiance I could use another friend

On what floor is your apartment? Maybe we can figure some things out for you to do to stay safe.

Hugs,

well, technically the 2nd floor, but it's an outside access so basically there is easy access to any window
