Hi All,
Warning -- this is gonna be a whine....and yes, I would like some cheese to go with my whine. Don't wanna go to work today

I am SO tired. I have a broken foot. It's so hard to get around the hangar floor and go up three tiers of scaffolding with a cast on. I want to crawl back into bed and pull the covers up over my head. I have meetings today so I know I can't do that.

I can't sleep in tomorrow either because I have to go see the damn T. I am so SICK of therapy. I am tired of talking about myself and my life. It's seems so self-indulgent. Selfish even. I HATE it right now. Maybe I'm "therapy-ed" out. I'd rather talk about Pakistan.

I can't wait until school starts again. I need the structure. I can get in so much trouble if all I have to worry about is work. Now that I've lost all my weight, I have men coming out of the woodwork. I should put my wedding ring back on, although sadly, that didn't seem to make a bit of difference. Maybe I should gain the weight back. It has previously proven to be a great safety defense against unwanted advances from men. Gawd, and all I work with are MEN!

I told you this was going to be a whine. If you've read this far, thank you for doing so.
Take good care and stay safe,
Okie

((((((((((((( Okie baby ))))))))))))))))))

I wish I didn't have to go to work today either. Can I whine along with you please???

So sorry to hear of your broken foot....can't imagine how difficult it is for you to get around at work with it like that Don't wanna go to work today

Hey, therapy is the "ME" time that you DESERVE!! Maybe you can think of happier things to talk about now and again....kind of mix it up a bit??

Yes, structure is good for most folks. Keeps us out of trouble and headed in a direction instead of floundering like a fish out of water...lol.

Don't you dare put that weight back on!!! You are much healthier and you should be feeling good about yourself for loosing it. You did it for YOU...not anyone else. That is the best reason for doing anything like that yes? When the guys make ya nuts....just smile coyly at them and say..."thanks, but no thanks" and walk away proud! Don't wanna go to work today

Don't wanna go to work today

Sorry about the men coming out of the workwoodwork :-) I've been there. Chase them back in a "determined" way; that will drive them off; "I forget, are you married?" as an opener. Maybe you can put some of them to work while your foot's in the cast, get them to do some of the climbing?

I hope it is for you like it sometimes was for me; once I get somewhere I'm usually all right, can "survive" for as long as I need to and sometimes even enjoy it/have things be better than I anticipate.

You can.

I would think it was relevant, because it obviously is on your mind...

Hey Okie...I too felt like not going to work today. I am lucky enough that I can stay home. I sure don't envy you climbing around with a cast on your foot--that must be tiring.

Hang in there my friend, the weekend is right around the corner. Maybe, you can at least sleep in on Sunday.

First, why are you climbing with a broken foot? You could re-injure it and leave you with so many other problems. Isn't there something else you could do at work that doesn't require being on your feet. I'm amazed your doctor lets you do this.

Now, on to the other things. I think a lot of us feel the same way. I want all this to be done. I want to take a break, but the problem is the problems are still there.

I would suggest talking all these things over with your tdoc.
I recently had a similar situation with my tdoc; we spend so much time working on ourselves we get caught up. So we discussed what I could do. Now I'm volunteering at a children's hospital. It can't be about me there; it has to be about them.
Talk to your tdoc.

Hmmm, losing weight and men coming out of the woodwork. Sounds like something many women would love to have happen, providing of course they were nice men and not cads.

As far as not wanting to go to work, I can't address that, I am a workaholic, 60+ hours a week and would like to work more if I could.

Therapy??? I don't need anyone to tell me what I already know.

You guys are so great! And funny too!

I survived. I don't get to sit in my office for very long in my job, although it would have been nice today.

I have to see T in the morning. I can't stand it!! She's into all the DBT %#@&#! and says stuff like "remember, those are just thoughts." Well, no kidding! To a thinking person that is the most ridiculous statement! Of course, I'm having thoughts. Duh.....I get paid handsomely to have thoughts, I might add. WTH?!

Ok, I'm done. Sleep good!
Love,
Okie
