If I understand this correctly, then yes. Even if you let someone down, if you tried to do something positive, then that's a win in my book. |

I personally don't like bragging. If it come up in conversation about something I have done/accomplished in the past in the form of discussion, that is not bragging.
For me, the term "bragging" is usually someone trying to make others see them as outstanding. Eg: when I met my now EX husband in college (senior year) he bragged about his high IQ & how smart he was IN HIGH SCHOOL while in college he barely got by. His bragging came across as arrogance. It was actually one of the red flags that made me want to cancel the wedding. Just beware how you brag because it can be a real turn-off to some people rather than impress them

I dont see bragging as a positive so I think I am misunderstanding what you meant. Do you mean talking about yourself in a positive proud way? Or do you mean talking about yourself as a way to make others feel a certain way about you?

People admire humble and not bragging. It’s best to let others sing your praises. But, we all should self promote as to succeed, or we will be passed over. So, there’s a fine line between being one’s own advocate and being arrogant.

Hearing people brag has never gotten under my skin like it does for other people. Doesn't bother me. It just sounds like the person you're referring to is happy about something that may or may not eventuate. Okay. Cool!

See this is what I mean. A true hero diminishes their accomplishments but has charisma and suave.

Not always true. Sometimes those with charisma & suave are nothing but snake oil salesmen. When all you get is torn down by people & you KNOW they are wrong, sometimes talking about your accomplishments is FIGHTING BACK, NOT bragging. Silence gets you nowhere

No it isnt. There no point bragging about something when it hasnt happened. There is no point bragging about something when it has happened. The reason is simple. Bragging causes higher exceptions off others that you brag to. I wouldnt recommend it.
