Hello All!
I have a confession to make. I have really high standards that I unknowingly impose on myself and others. It's no secret that those standards have found their way in these forums in one of my bolder postings.
I think mostly what that means for me is that I fake my strength during the low points knowing that when the high points are there I will be around to enjoy them. (DOES that make sense?)
In truth, for the past month or so, I have not had good access to the internet to keep in touch; that is the truth--the other part of the truth however is that I could have tried harder, but I was running.
I impose such high standards on myself and unknowingly on others that it was pretty difficult to live up to them this past month.
I am writing this from my sisters house in Houston, Texas. I arrived yesterday afternoon for some much needed R&R.
Keep me in your thoughts as I am struggling at this time; but I am a true fighter and that's what I will continue to do.
The thoughts (I call them intrusions) were so overwhelming to "end things" on my wife's and my anniversary (Aug. 18th), that I knew that I needed to get around some support.
Like I tell other people, "If you want to feel better and be healthy, you have to make a step in that direction." I want to feel better, and I am making a huge step by taking about 10 days off to come down here.
It's nice to be here, and nice to check in with you.
To healthier and happier days,
Blessings,
Jon

Jon,

Thanks for checking in. I'm glad you realized that you needed some extra support, and sought it out.

Take care of yourself, and know that we are hear for you, whenever your path brings you back to us.

*hugs*
Jo

Take care, Jon! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. I think it's good that you did come here and ask for help, and you did take the time to go to your sister's. I have confidence that you will make it through this, but make sure you don't have to do it alone. Come here or to to someone for the support you need.

Jon,
you in are in my thougts and prayers..
in your time of need. I hope you get the much needed R&R that you want. I wish you the best of luck in what ever you seek to find. Just take it as easy as you can, and try to be cozy when you can, and do not be so hard on yourself..

Our high standards can come down, but only you can do that, not us... All we can do is support you when you ask..

Hey, there you are! Hadn't seen you on the boards in a while, and I was starting to worry. I'm glad you checked in, and I'm gald you're taking care of yourself. Sometimes we just need a timeout from life to collect ourselves and reflect upon where we are and where we need to be. I hope you feel better soon, and please, drop by once in a while when you feel up to it. I'm sending you many warm wishes, and I hope things work out for you. You've always been there for me, no matter what I was going through, and those gestures many SO much to me! I look forward to seeing you in chat again, and I'll pm you very soon. Just don't give up, not now, I'm praying for you to have a safe, healthy continuation on your journey with this illness and in life.

((((((((((((((JON)))))))))))))))

Please keep in touch. I'm so glad we met, and I'm wishing you nothing but the best in this life. Take care.

Hugs,
Adrienne
