If I could just magically stop caring so much and being so affected/influenced by others, what they would think, feel, do etc. man, all my problems wouldn't just be magically fixed, but it sure would completely fix a few and help so many others greatly :/
I sometimes look up ways and tips for not caring so much, how to just be myself etc. but just can't seem to manage... Heck it's not even just in the real world it's the same case online on forums, Facebook, whatever lol __________________ |

Sometimes I think mindfulness is overused as a kind-of cure all. From what you've described, though, I think learning some hard-core mindfulness would be of benefit to you.

I too wonder if mindfulness might help? Have you tried DBT or CBT?

There are no tips that can help you at this time. If you want to stop caring about what others think about you. You have to love yourself, and typically put yourself first. Once you love yourself and respect yourself and have personal boundaries. Everything will fall into place.

Learning to value yourself & stop being a "people pleaser " really helps. Learning to KNOW yourself is an important part of this.
Yes, mindfulness helps. Once I knew exactly WHY I think what I think, I no longer cared what anyone else thought of me because I know the foundation I base MY life on & if it bothers others.....that is THEIR problem, NOT MINE. It is called "knowing yourself", " self-confidence" & yes, it gives ones self a chance to be themselves.... & it helps STOP co-dependency __________________ Leo's favorite place was in the passenger seat of my truck. What sort of things are you concerned about? I used to try and shut it off, but if you want to be a certain way, and you're presenting yourself very differently, it might be worth making some changes. Not changing yourself, but maybe how you express yourself. Just a thought. If you care you care, that's not necessarily bad at all.

You said it yourself, you can do this, all you have to do is focus on your needs, and prepare for great things to come. I love my family but i do not have them in my life much. I pray for them every week. You have to respect yourself and see value in yourself.
