I've been here for 5 years and honestly, I don't think it's changed all that much. We have more members, forums, and better administration, but the tone of PC is basically the same for me. Some people still thrive on drama, some are still argumentative, some are still really altruistic and helpful, some are still a mess, some have gotten a lot of healing done.

I didn't realize that you were Desirae. Interesting.

I agree with LMO. I have been here over three years, and, though there are many more members, and topics for discussion threads, the support here is still very good. I rarely go into chat, but, like this evening, I did venture in, and it was okay.
As wise January has said, things change and PC is a microcosm of life. I do like seeing the familiar names here in the threads, but I also find new posters' responses to be helpful and articulate, sensitive and caring. People do come here, like I did originally, with serious issues and problems. I hope they are helped as much as I have been!
Love

I guess things don't seem to have changed all that much here to me, either. That being said, chat is something that I've only gotten into recently. Sometimes I have a good conversation with someone... Sometimes the people in the room don't really seem to want me to be there... Maybe it is my imagination... I don't know. I guess I'm able to not let it get to me.

I think my relation to PC has changed over time. I've grown fonder of the place... And I've gotten to know some of the posters here, I guess. I guess I hold people here at arms length. Maybe because I've been burned on internet boards in particular and in life more generally.

I don't know.

I've only been here 1 year and during that time it has seemed pretty much the same. I have only gone to chat twice and didn't really like it much so I don't go. I think that's just me. I post mostly here in one forum, and that helps me get to know people better since a lot of the people in that forum are also there regularly. It's like a little home within the larger board.

In general, I find people on PC to be supportive and more thoughtful (willing to think about things) than on some other boards I am on (not psych boards).

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
