I'm going to go big with this, pharmacy and then maybe the news media, definetly the FDA.

Last month I bought a box of ASPIRIN FREE citrus alka seltzer for heartburn. Yesterday I went to buy another box, and would have just grabbed it but saw GOLD alka seltzer GOLD sitting next to it, and that was what my allergist of long ago had me use to counter my food allergy reactions. So I checked to be sure no aspirin still. right.

But then, I checked the citrus... same boxing as I bought last month...but NOW it has aspirin in it! Thankfully the GOLD was sitting there, or I might not be here. I never would have thought to double check something I had "just" bought that was fine then. I have anaphylactic reactions to aspirin: my airway closes instantly.

Please double check your OTCs if you have issues, it appears they don't have to tell us when they change formulas?

Wow Sky you were lucky. And that is absolutely true, if you bught a product once, especially a month ago, who would check the ingredients again! I would not have! Is this company asking for trouble or what!!!

Wow, that's scary! It's owned by Bayer; I would have assumed everything had aspirin in it but only that one flu one does.

True Perna, the "blue" always had aspirin in it, and they had the "gold" which didn't. I haven't seen gold for years! So when I decided that some of my problems are allergy induced, I thought about alka seltzer gold again, and couldn't find it. I checked the "new" citrus flavored and voila' no aspirin... on my box.

I spoke with my own pharmacist today. He agrees that they are way too lenient on packaging changes and the like. He mentioned also how there should never be 60 different boxes of "tylenol" when it's the same drug! alka seltzer...

Geez, all their "regular" old-style Alka Seltzer have aspirin in them but their Heartburn and their Gold. You must have gotten Heartburn last time, it comes in Lemon Lime too like one of their regular. They should have done a little better advertising to differential the regular Alka Seltzer from the Alka Seltzer Heartburn.

Sorry for any confusion: I bought lemon-lime heartburn in the blue box and it says ASPIRIN FREE! That's the issue...NOW the "same" boxes say (also in tiny print) contains aspirin. alka seltzer...
