Whatever may be going on in one's life, whatever life stressors (including people who may stress you out), I think it's important to have some safe areas of your life, too. Even if it can't be your own living space. It's important to create a world for yourself that is loving and kind and self soothing. Maybe you like comics, maybe yoga helps you, maybe you have good friends, or being in nature makes you happy. Be grateful for the good that you have that is here with you with the stress. It won't always be like this (stressful times do end).


I think it's also important to learn to appropriately deal with life stressors and people who stress us out. Especially if we cannot cut them out of our lives completely (an example would be someone you work with, someone you live with, a neighbor, etc). Maybe spend less time around them if you can, there's a possibility that you could even work out your differences with them. If you need to protect yourself though, please do. It usually doesn't end well writing letters about my own upset and sending them. Venting to safe people is good and so is writing letters that I don't send.


This is post is mainly for myself but maybe it will help others too. I remember reading something on here about bullying, and one of the responses was to create your own world (I'm paraphrasing) and be grateful for the good things in your life because they're there. Don't discount those things. It's ok to be sad about life stressors and stressful people, but I think it's best not to stay in it forever. Don't forget you have good things in your life too.
