I had surgery a week ago Friday and ever since I’ve been kind of a mess. I’ve been super depressed and I’ve lost about 10 pounds because I have no motivation to eat, and I’ve also been buying stuff I don’t really need.

Is this just post op depression? How do I get rid of it? The last time I had post op depression it went on for a couple months. I felt like my surgery had changed my personality almost. Now I just feel bummed out all the time and not motivated.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Are you in physical pain? Maybe that's contributing to it. I would follow up with the surgeon and your psychiatrist as well.
Thanks for this!

Yeah I’m achy and I haven’t been doing anything but lying in bed. I did clean the cat boxes twice and I did a ton of laundry. I took some Tylenol half an hour ago. I’ll ask my mom to call him since I don’t know the number. I see my psychiatrist on the 29th. I’m not sure I can get in sooner but I can call. I wonder if raising my lamictal will help. My Geodon has already been raised a few times and I don’t want to try anything new.

So Sorry that you're struggling. i agree with the wise and wonderful downandlonely that it may be due to physical pain. Perhaps that is also a factor in discouraging you to doing much. i'd suggest to talk to your therapist and/or Pdoc if you haven't already. Please do not give up. Sending many safe, warm hugs to BOTH you, @Mountaindewed, your Family, your Friends and ALL of your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, OK?!
Thanks for this!
