Hey,

So yeah I don't want to write a novel so I keep this short.
Throughout my life I always had suicidal thoughts running through my head. A few attemps here and there.
But now I am trying to live a life. I found hobbies, got more serious about university and tried new things.
For 2 years now and I feel like I got nowhere. Everything just doesn't work or just barely works out. I don't really got any goals that I want to achieve or that feel like they are something that I want to achieve.
Usually I was passionate even when depressed and suicidal. But now there is nothing. Like everything that was behind my depression was nothingness.

How do you guys find what you are passionate about and what is something you are able to achieve?

I don't have an answer for you because I'm struggling a lot lately with bad thoughts. I just wanted to say I understand. I wish you luck in your search and life. It's very hard.

1.The advice of one of my many mental health workers was, "find people that you have something in common with". He meant like people with a similar hobby or pastime, or interest.

2.I am able to achieve walks of several miles, and also grow a lot of my own food. How to find a passion? You cause yourself to have experiences. I don't know how to make yourself "want to want to do something", though.

I wish you all the best too. Life should really have come with a difficulty setting
Hopefully things will brighten up for you again!

i can partly relate to your struggles as i also don't know what my passions are i think. The main difference seems to be that i still feel rather bad while you're starting to Live finally. i'd suggest to try some of the things that catch your attention if there are any. Sorry if it isn't really Helpful but if there's anything that even mildly interests you do try it out. Hopefully it will then get easier from there although i am not sure. Sending many Safe, warm hugs to BOTH you, @Whereto52, your Family, your Friends and ALL of your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, OK?!

I struggle a bit to connect with people because I find it hard to find commonalities with others. But that one is just really on me. I don't got anything that I am passionate about eventhough I tried out a lot. It just never feels like anything when I do it.

Ah, its alright i think that most of the people that saw the title could relate more to it than knowing what to do.
Still thanks for the help
