Drug overdose suspected.... does that mean he did it on purpose or it was an accident?

I feel really sad about this one! My co-worker told me he was dead and I was like NO WAY!!! I couldn't belive it and my stomach dropped to the floor. I had to search online right away to confirm it wasn't some kind of hoax. I've been watching him ever since he was in 10 Things I hate about you. I am also looking forward to the latest batman, he will be playing the joker. I thought it was supposed to be out soon, but learned it won't be out until this summer. It's so odd when celebrities die...you don't really know them, but you feel like you do because you see them in all sorts of movies. *sigh*

I heard second hand that he had pneumonia and was also trying to catch up on jet lag and took some sleep aids. I doubt seriously that it was suicide. At least, I'm hoping it wasn't! . ..omigosh.....

What a shame that he's gone!! . ..omigosh.....

I read he was battling drug addiction and depression:

Australian, Herald Sun (his hometown)

Yeah... that, too. . ..omigosh..... Maybe he combined the sleep aid with his recreational drugs? . ..omigosh.....

No, no recreational apparently. Sleep and anti-anxiety meds perhaps. I saw on the news at the sports resturant where I was at lunch that the autopsy was inconclusive so there wasn't a whole lot of something happening that made it obvious. They've said it definately wasn't suicide but they don't quite know what combination of meds/health problems or what happened.

Glenn Beck on Fox News is slamming doctors for overmedicating their patients. He seems to think that Heith Ledger is only ONE of many deaths because of overmedication.

He's got a psychiatrist on talking about it. IDK, when I had a pshychiatrist, all he did was push pills at me. He had me on four meds for depression. I got myself off of them and only take one, now. It works fine! Not ALL pdocs are that way, though, that's for sure.

It's just a terrible shame that it happened. . ..omigosh.....

I guess Bush was going to make a statement about perscription medication abuse today... but because of his death postponed the statement as not to be seen as capitalizing on his death.
