However for those where it is....the option should not be overlooked like it was for me. That is why every person's mental struggles needs to be individually assessed without upfront assumptions to get to the REAL foundational issues that are causing the mental illness.

Seriously, If I had known what was actually going on & had the help & support, I might not have had the huge number of suicide attempts I had. Obviously for me, it was situational because my MI didn't follow me when I left though there was still a little recovery necessary from the PTSD.....but being away from the caused helped that too.

ALL reasons need to be assessed when it comes to treatment

For me, it was both situational and biological. Getting away from my family and meds help a lot.
