Hi
I have been having thoughts that I'm losing control, and although logically I know it's not happening, it frightens me BUT I don't feel anxious in terms of nerves but rather just frightened if that even makes sense? One time I had a thought of the surroundings tipping over -logically this can't happen but it was a strong thought if that makes sense? I feel frightened but not nervous like I'm numb? Does that sound like something anyone else has gone through? |

Dear waterfall99,
I am so very sorry that is happening to you. How distressing! I have often felt like I am losing control. Frightened but not nervous is something I have also experienced. Both experiences are very, very unpleasant to say the least. Sometimes when I am feeling like this I will lapse into a full symptom or partial symptom panic attack which is really scary and horrible. The experience of my surroundings tipping over has sometimes come to me as well as the experience of my surroundings kind of slowly spinning and wobbling around me. I am sorry that you are having unwelcome and unhappy experiences! Sincerely yours, Yao Wen |

Thanks so much Yao Wen. It's very frightening- it's difficult when you don't feel any nerves but are scared in your mind. I hope you are keeping well.

So Sorry about it also! Please Do not give up! Hugs. i agree with the wise and wonderful Yaowen about being So Sorry that you are experiencing this and i Hope things will improve. Perhaps it may be a good idea to talk to therapist about this if you haven't already. Perhaps that may help you process your thoughts also. Do give it a try maybe if possible if you want to obviously. Love. Sending many Safe, warm hugs to BOTH you, @waterfall99, your Family, your Friends and ALL of your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, OK?!

I have it. I worry about my health a lot and then, if it got bad, where could I turn since I'm alone. Also I tend to have a lot of catastrophic thinking. I hate it!

Yes, I believe it's a reaction to extreme anxiety. I have thoughts/perceptions of disasters...car accidents, earthquakes, etc...and many times I look at the environment (especially if I'm having strong anxiety) and everything looks off, something like tilted and unreal. For a moment I panic, but I remember to relax my shoulders and do belly breathing, which helps right away.

yeah, the deep breathing helps. Also mindfulness. Living in the future makes you anxious all the time.
