That's interesting. I know a Pakistani woman who was taken from England to Pakistan with all her sisters when she was 15 for a forced marriage. She finally got her abusive husband to move to the US where she knew she could get a divorce and did almost the second she got her citizenship a couple years ago; grabbed her child and headed for a women's shelter.
I could see where a guy wouldn't want to have to support a wife and children he was forced to marry but I think society would have a hard time with that unless he was seen as a victim (as in, why didn't you just divorce? Because I'd have to support these people but her father and mine made me marry her). My friend, when she was shipped back to Pakistan though, had to live there until she convinced her husband to go back to England and from England to America. I would think a lot of guys would stay in Pakistan where they have more "control" and can do more what they want? Sounds like a cultural thing I don't fully understand.
