Some people are so backwards in their thinking. And this constant yelling about “my rights and my freedoms” are detrimental to society’s progress.

But I have to say that even progressive people might be apprehensive about such apps. If you were a victim of a scam or identity theft or your accounts being hacked, you’d think twice of dealing with anything or anyone tracking your ins and outs.

I totally agree with what you said, too! I've been a victim of ID theft, so I am somewhat reluctant on all that.

There used to be a useful flu tracker (before the pandemic), but that was contingent upon symptoms (not positive tests) and people actually reporting their symptoms.

I don't think they should ban those apps from being used in safe ways so that people know that there's an uptick in their immediate area - even before tests have been confirmed and then finally recorded at the state level.

But then again, people are relying more on the data collected at the state level anyway. I just go by that instead of whatever apps are being used. The apps could also have people logging in false information as well.
