The scale and scope of the illness some of us have had to endure, oftentimes for years on end, proves one thing beyond measure. We are tougher than we know and we are stronger than most realize.

I feel that I have developed healthy coping mechanisms over time and am much more emotionally stable than I was when I was first diagnosed.

When I was IP, they would always ask about my anxiety and depression on a scale of 0-10, 0 being none, 10 being the worst. I consider my mental illness to be a 10.
