i'm confused cause of a lot of stuff thats happened on forums over the years

Cause in the past i have been punished on forums for stuff that wasnt even against the rules of that forum - it literally was not even in the rulebook, like the rule of "dont ignore admin's pet-member" (in other words, admin's favourite member) - in that situation i was told by a moderator there to ignore the pet member of the admin, then got punished by the admin for doing exactly what the moderator said

Another example is when pm messages was getting sent round the forum about something that had apparently happened between a admin and a moderator there, i checked on the moderator, who at the time i thought was a friend, but she proved to not be trusted) she asked me what was being said in pm so i told her the basic thing, next thing i know i had angry admin screaming at me in pm just for answering the question the moderator asked

Exactly what is the difference between "good behaviour" on a forum and "bad behaviour"? i just dont understand what is considered to be the difference cause yes staying within rules is "good behaviour" but its also "bad behaviour" cause i get into a troubles for stuff that is not even in the rulebook

with my learning difficulties this makes it pretty hard for me to get my head around

Willowtigger, in my experience admin and mods here are fair and even handed. If you follow the guidelines you should be fine. I've never seen you post anything problematic. Your posts are caring and supportive.

I don't do stuff just to go wrong and be bad, there will always be reason if I do "bad behaviour" that's within rules

The examples I posted are from elsewhere

I wanting to understand, I just saying

Nobody would be able to address what the issues were elsewhere. At this place, as long as you follow the guidelines you'll be fine.

Everyone makes mistakes. If you make a mistake you might be corrected but nothing is a big deal. You aren’t a bad person just because you might make a mistake here and there like all of us

will the corrections be harsh? like the forum version of getting hit round the head?

No. You might be reminded that it’s better not to say XYZ. Or mods will correct your post. Nothing harsh. Relax.
