988, the new three-digit number for mental health, substance use, and suicidal crises, will become available nationwide today, July 16, 2022.

You can call or text 988 to connect with trained crisis counselors that can provide de-escalation and mental health intervention services by phone.

Last time I called my crisis line she told me to call that number if she didn't help. Good to have easier access to resources.
