- it never ceases to amaze me that I can come to PC in the middle of the night, and despite there being so many members of our community, only having 3 members online at the time!!

That is true....and then sometimes, I will log on at 4 AM and find a whole bunch of us who are awake and posting. It seems to go in cycles. Truthfully, I wish there were none of us on in the middle of the night--it would be better if we were in bed getting a good night's rest.

One of my best memories in the whole world was being awake in the middle of the night in my big old drafty house and feeling lonely and alone (this was 10+ years ago) and coming online to a community and there was one person, who lived in western Canada I think and we sort of greeted each other and exchanged pleasantries about what I was eating :-) and it was so comforting to me and I went back to bed knowing there were people awake somewhere in the world, "watching out". I went right back to sleep, like a little kid.
