I'm sorry to post so much lately but by April 28 I have leave the airbnb and have no place to go. For months I've been planning to go homeless in the forest but it's just too much for a lot of reasons.

So my only plan now is to go homeless in the streets and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it's like to be homeless in a big city. It scares me a lot. I feel like a failure.

@stahrgeyzer I am sorry you are running out of options to stay in a house. What other people do you know even in other states that might help you get a new start. Being homeless there are some resources available in LA (if you are in other city google that one and ask your question)

Homeless services LA Homeless Services | City of Los Angeles

What is it like to be homeless in LA?
What Is It Like Being Homeless in Los Angeles, California? | Eco Bear Biohazard Cleaning Company

There are many more articles on LA Homelessness if you care to google them.

Hope you find a way to cope with that. @CANDC

I’m so sorry @stahrgeyzer that you’re in this situation.
They look like very good resources that @CANDC has posted.
I’m so sorry, I don’t really have any advice except to reach out to people in your support network and check out those resources.

I wish you all the best please take care of yourself.

Can you couch surf? Talk to a case manager maybe there's a group home you can go to, or some kind of emergency housing.

I heard about a couch surging app but it sounds scary to me. My sister is helping me get things together which will be good but a lot of anxiety at the same time.

Hope your sister can help you. If you have a vehicle, there are safe parking lots but I can see the link CANDC posted has those.

If you are technically homeless (even if you are staying with a relative) you should be able to get on a shortlist for government or subsidized housing.

I hope you can also submit an application for food stamps and/or disability - whatever you can qualify for.
