It's not a silly question, I think it's a new terminology. I came across a video recently of someone who has it. And then I forgot what DID was. Here's a definition of it: Dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a mental health condition. Someone with DID has multiple, distinct personalities. The various identities control a person's behavior at different times.

Correct....it used to be MPD (multiple Personality Disorder) in previous DSM'S
