With me that I can't explain.

I've had a trauma-filled life (most recently up to last week)

I don't have words to explain it.
It's like I'm sinking into myself. Brief moments of utter terror then happiness. Then dull void nothing then sadness.

All in a day.

I work a full time job, don't socialize at all and my dreams are exceptionally realistic.

I just don't know...

@DeeeSchmeee68 I am sorry you are finding things challenging. The mind is always changing and the more we are aware of it the more we can feel the feelings that are buried in there due to previous experiences.

I am finding that stretching and yoga helps me ground the energy. Adrienne has yoga and 5 minute Tai Chi has fun movements that help me too. Both are free and on youtube.

Have you considered professional help or a support group?

I see a counselor for many years now

I can try some yoga or Tai chi

This morning, I woke up with the realization that I don't like my children as adults. I thought that by leaving their abusive father(s), they would lead happier lives.
Top that off with my own MI and my inability to communicate with them, I see how much they hold against me. They way they speak to me sometimes (my daughter called me a ****ing pig because I flushed the toilet while she was in the shower) makes me not want to be around them.
I'm told I'm annoying and then I react-respond and make things worse.

No one is willing to seek help so I just keep my distance.

My heart is shut down.

(I have a diagnosis of c-ptsd, MDD and dissociative disorder)

In my experience, sometimes healing can only happen when we get away from ALL our sources of past hurt (that carry into the present).

I could hardly put a meaningful sentence together before I walked out of my marriage. My daughter had already moved out of state & my mom had died from cancer the year before. Getting away from it all & letting my mind have time to process & heal from the past gave me a whole new life not tied to the past. It was an extreme change & my now ex did not believe I would make it. 16 years later I do love what my life has become

How do I get away from the hurt?

For me it took totally moving across the country & moving to a place where I knew no one. It took lots of good therapy to process all I had gone through. Also, I was never a person who held onto hurts in the first place when I moved past what had happened. The whole 54 years of my life living around dysfunctional parents & then husband became obvious after I moved & was around functional people & learned through therapy how to live functionally myself. I was so immersed in my new life I didn't have tbe time to stay hurt by my past.

Each person is different, I can't tell you how to get away from the hurt. You can physically remove yourself from it but if you carry it with you, you will still hurt. That is where good therapy could help process the past & help you move on from it

@DeeeSchmeee68 this is a very difficult situation. Daughters often side with the father and blame the mother for the divorce because daughters often have a better relationship with the father than the mother.

It seems like creating boundaries and respecting them might help. Maybe the fact you are in the bathroom they same time the daughter is is a problem for them. But the level of reaction they had sounds like it is not commensurate with your action. Way over reaction.

The other thing that can be happening is your ex may be fouling the water spreading all kinds of rumors about you to cover up their own inappropriate actions.

Question to ask your therapist if you have one is how can I cope with this situation and work on my own mental health. If you do not have a therapist, maybe it is time to get one.
