So I didn't really have a good day yesterday, and I have my friend Sara that I talk to all the time, and I wrote her an email telling her about how I didn't have a good day, and she wrote back something that I really made me think.
"...so i sat down and thought of all the things that i tell/ ask my campers when they are being moody: did you wake up this morning? did you stand up out of bed on your own? could you see your way to the bathroom? were you able to hear the shower starting? things like that. it made me feel a lot better and my day turned around 100%. it worked so well that i decided that my "lenten journey" would be a conscious effort to have more "good days"..." It really made my day better and today I am being more optimistic. It makes you change your mind and instead of thinking of all the things you don't have, think of all the things you DO have.
