this week we decided its time to clear out the storage space, things are starting to go damp, a lot of the things were from when we moved and had nowhere to put them teddies from when the kids were little, but a lot of it is oldests daughters we only took some of her stuff in to her after she never came home, so its time to sort out all her bits and take it into her

phoned up to check she was in and to arrange time to take the stuff in a large suitcase a very large bag and three boxes of stuff
but sitting going through her stuff was hard teddies and ornaments were difficult to look at reminding me when she had each thing
so here i sit with tears rolling down my face and her stuff all other the floor ,
soon it will be in the car and taken in to her
when i phoned she told me they might of found her a place to stay
so much for social services keeping me informed

So hard for a mum to go through. I'm sorry you are hurting right now.

Maybe Social Services is waiting for a confirmation on her place to go before letting you know. Remember that it could have been said to daughter in an "off handed" way and she may be putting more into it than there was meant to be?

I hope you are able to process through this ok hon. I'm sure you are going through a ton of emotions right now. And it's ok.....let out the tears.....I'll cry with you grrrrrrrrrrrrrr not good day

grrrrrrrrrrrrrr not good day

Congratualations on working on the storage space; I've been putting that off at my home and extra storage space for a year or two now. That's hard work all on its own.

One of the reasons I don't jump in is because of all the things I have saved and how I'll be overwhelmed with memories, etc. I think you are very brave.

I like how you went from thinking of the past and teddy bears and when your daughter had each thing to the present and being angry because social services hadn't told you they might have found a place for her. I hope it just happened and they hadn't had an opportunity or were mentioning it to your daughter as a bit of a "treat" to keep her tractable or something and fully intended to call you first when it became an actuality. "Might have" is for children? You want to know what is going on and I think they'll tell you before they give very many details to your daughter?

I'm glad you are through to the other end though, of sorting the stuff. That's good work and done now.
