Since my last post got deleted I will rephrase this and hopefully it passes...
hypothetically speaking, if you came across a suicidal threat on the internet and had nothing to go off of but a name and an e-mail address, what would you do? Are there professionals I can get in contact with to refer this to? |

what kind of professionals? mental health? .. of course... authorities? of course......
imo, in that position, your options are limited... do what yu beleive is right, then wash hands of it... your intentions are good... if you dot know who to contact, pm me... we'll figure it out |

I wouldn't do anything. There's no knowing if it's a sick joke or anything about the person or situation. I don't think anyone is going to post a serious suicide mention, anonymously; if they are hoping for help, they're going to let someone know in some way where they actually are in real life or the note will be posted where someone knows who they are, etc. If I don't know who they are and the situation, I am going to dismiss it as "not meant for me".
