Why do I see so many things with the word trigger in it? What does that mean?

Balish, "trigger" is used to mark a post that may have content that could cause someone difficulty mentally if they read it.
For example, I get triggered by reading about heart attacks and strokes. If I were to read a post about that, it may cause my anxiety to become really bad or I might have an attack. Common things that people use triggers for are when talking about abuse of any kind,self injury,violence, just to name a few. If you ever have any question about what should have a trigger mark on it, you can ALWAYS pm one of the mods or admins to reveiw your post and let you know. Also, if you do think you need a trigger mark on a post, also add the red circle with a black X in it under the post icon section when making your post. Hope this made sense and was helpful! |
