Well, I guess this will be my final series, the saga of my job.
Thank you to everyone for their wonderful support through all the crap that has gone on with losing my job, getting it back and NOW as of today, no job again. I was so thrilled to get my job back, but now today I have been told I am being dismissed again. Today I was told that there is now information to show misconduct on my part. Why I had a perfect personnel record, (according to the Tribal Administrator) and now I do not, is beyond me. When I asked questions I was told that I was already given to much information. The tribe is an "at will employer" and they do not need a reason.
So I am filled with kinds of thoughts and feelings. Needless to say none of them are good or healthy!
I am just totally blown away by this new found evidence. Talk about building someone up to let them down! job, no job, job and no job job, no job, job and no job job, no job, job and no job

Oh, {{{curley}}} I'm so sorry. Not only for the end result but the whole messed up process.

Oh Curley, I'm really sorry both for the whole process you've had to go through and the end result. Nobody should have to go through the emotional rollercoaster you've had with this situation.

Best wishes for finding another and hopefully better job.

"At will" does not always mean that an employer can dismiss you for a bad reason - like to prevent your participation in a retirement plan, your age, your disability. I am kind of late to jump in but you might want to talk to an employment attorney if you think that you were dismissed for a bad or improper reason. Not sure of CA law but in AZ - which is also an "at will" state - an employer cannot dismiss you for an improper reason.

Good luck - sometimes employers do us a favor when the dismiss us - another door opens.

Take care.

My heart goes out to you, I feel your pain as I read your post, reminds me when I was dismissed from my social work internship, then told I would find another placement, then told no, I would not succeed anywhere...even though my doctor said I was fine to go they said my doctor was biased in my favor....talk about biased, that's what they were!! If they could see me now.........that's how I feel now......and, hopefully, you will be able to say the same thing........ job, no job, job and no job

I am so very sorry. I would guess that your self-worth is about in your shoes right now. Please know that no matter what happened there you are a good person. No one deserves to be treated poorly like that. You are not your job. You will be fine in the long run. I want to tell you a job is a job and that you will find more. I learned after too many bad experiences that it is ONLY a job. It is not who you are inside. Peace to you my friend and good luck.
