First off remember that I have hand issues. Weakness and pain. I just killed a lap top by dropping it.
Secondly remember that I have a partially torn rotator cuff in right shoulder and I am right handed. I was applying stain to the newly sanded stairs so it would "catch up" with the aged wood look of the rest of the hallway that is 8 feet wide. I was on stair 6 when I lifted the stain, dropped it and got the unfinished bench in the hallway and BOTH walls, radiators, and floor covered with stain. It was real fun cleaning it up and had to throw away the rug. That is my excitement for the day. |

Ouch - that would be really annoying. Sorry you had to toss the carpet.

Well, I am exhausted and a bit upset. All of that and it looks like the stairs will need a second coat. Hope there is enough in the can or should I go outside and dab the carpet more? The stairs need to be urathaned and I am so not looking forward to that. My body has shut down for the day I hope. Meaning I hope it feels more alive tomorrow. So I think I need to bolt the gate in the living room so the dogs stay behind it!! Imagine doggie prints of stain everywhere.
Choice words? Can't say them here. The best part was I had to act fast and get it off everything I could. I am all out pooped! Well, better tomorrows? |

Hubby seems to like the stairs. EVEN with the spilled stain. I would like to get him to finish them!
