I write everything down on a calender that hangs in my kitchen, it really seems to help.

I only have one prescription that I "care" about and that's my asthma med so if I can't breathe, I remember :-) I'm too anxious to forget much "important", my memory has always been good.
I keep various papers around in places I know where they are; presciptions in wallets and I wait for them or I call them in and do the phone automation thing and that's complicated enough so it reminds me. I had my husband buy me a little tape "recorder" thingy for Christmas year before last (but it's complicated enough I haven't figured out how to use it yet :-) __________________ "Never give a sword to a man who can't dance." ~Confucius |

I keep a book. My grandfather taught me that at age 18.
He gave me one. It has worked all theses years. Also calender is a great idea with the book you write out whole years, each page a month |

For thing that I need at work, I put in my cell phone's note pad. At home, i keep a little notebook by my computer, since that's where I do my school work. Plus I make a calender for myself. As far as age or depression, my mother gave me a plaque that I have cherished for years.

I keep my meds in a plastic thingy that holds daily doses. When I'm putting them in for the next week, I see that I'm running out, so I put my prescriptions by the phone to call in. Other stuff I keep on a wall calendar that's next to the fridge so I see it every day.
Good luck! |

if i really really really really really need to remember something i try to associate it with something else important that i might think about when i need to remember that other thing, and if the one thing is thought about or mentioned or if i see it then i sometimes suddenly remember to do the other thing, but this doesnt work too often lol. Most of the time i just remember after the fact or suddenly remember at the last minute, like for example i very nearly locked myself out of my house today again cuz i had taken my keys out of my pockets earlier and was closing the door before i realized i had forgotten them.
What annoys me about forgetting things is when im having a conversation and im talking about something important when i interupt myself by suddenly remembering another very important (to me) thing that i wanted to say only to forget to finish what i had started saying and only remember what it was after i have hung up the phone or left the company of the person i was talking to lol. |

my mom puts post it notes on our bedroom doors of things we need to do.
like: Physical therapy 4:30 - walk there john will pick up softball practice right after school- i will pick up clean your room and bring laundry up empty dishwasher xoxox mom (lol my mom is strange) so thats what my mom does and she also keeps a family calender in the kitchen which its a rule we have to check it before we make plans and if we dont write in on their we cant do it. My mom wouldnt survve with out the calender. She also carries a small one inher purse she writes it in also. I dont really have a problem staying orgainized or keeping on schedule because the people around me like my mom are so organized it basicallt forces me to be as well. So i hate when i dont have a schedule and know what to do at what time. I dont know what to do with myself if i dont know maybe these things will work for you |

She got me doing it also. Its so handy once you start getting used to it too.I make colums with titles such as Name of bill Date recieved Due date Date paid How much I also get duplicate checks ( the ones with the carbon copy) So in case I forget to mark something down.. which is rarely now ... i have that record of it. I think also it would help me out to do this for my meds( like when did I get them, how much with and w/o insurance, To make sure I am taking theme properly when my mind is wondering off lol ), and even household maintenance/improvement things. ( What room/area what we did/ want to do estimated cost/ how much paid/ budgeted when service needed next. Hope this helps ya out and you find something that works for you!! __________________ |
