I am actually a very good driver, but I got a ticket today. I was turning left out of our local mall. I was completely oblivious to the new "NO LEFT TURN" signs that were put up only a couple of weeks ago. I was pulled over and cited. I went back and, sure enough, there were three signs there, and two of them had orange flags!! My bad, I deserve it.
This makes six tickets I have had in 40 years driving. My first was in 1972, and my second a year later. Twenty-three years passed before I got my next one in 2000. I have had one in each of the last three years. Like I say I am a good driver. Nobody has ever felt unsafe in my car. Today I should have just stayed home.
