What I thought was going to be good news... is bad news hubby's work , the union rep and the state had that meeting yesterday about Kongsberg disputing the unemployment benefits. well they have to wait to get signed papers and all that That it will be put thru but that could take up to 2 weeks. and till then.. no money coming in. We just start having this positive outlook.. and now this crap again. We just cant win. Just trying to be here for hubby right now.. he's all upset and I'm trying to be strong for him. And then they also posted when he went to picket that the company if they do come to an agreement.. will be moving 200 jobs out of that plant. So that cuts my husbands job. We've been looking putting in applications trying to be hopeful. but no calls yet Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks

Hang in there! You have each other, even if you lost everything else, you still have each other and can rebuild your life back up should it come to being destitute from no job. I hope it works out within the two weeks!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes. We had a letter from the state unemployment office today stating that its been determined that everyone is eligible for the unemployment and there has been a direct deposit made. Its just not showing up yet at our bank. But we're good now. Just a worry when they said it could take up to 2 weeks and you got bills to pay. Its like you dont want to get behind. Thank goodness for the good things in life, like our friends to help us get thru . I've done well with having faith as of late.. but this just hit me in a place where I was so unsure what would happen. Now to keep having the faith that he will get a decent paying job. And I have my interview with the BVR next week.. which wont bring me employment right away.. but its a step closer. It all helps. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts , prayers or whatever it is you do. Thanks so much!!!

Well.. On my way home from therapy today, I got a call from hubby. He said he had an interview scheduled tomorrow at 2pm with the one place we were hoping he'd get in at. It starts out less than what he was making at his last job by $2... but by the time he gets the 3 raises to top him out.. he'll be making $2 more than what he is making now!! Plus he will be getting really good insurance, sick days , personal days, and cost of living raises and attendance bonus's!!!Ohhh wow.. I sound like he's got the job already lol.. but I cant help it!! We were both so excited talking to eachother today.. Just couldnt believe it!!! It was a month ago he put his application in. And this past weekend he got a post card from the company acknowledging that they recieved his appication and resume. We couldnt remember of a time when any other job he'd applied for did that!! Immediately we thought this meant good luck!! LOL
So we are thinking too with this place being about 40minutes away.. that we will definitely need to move. But we will see how this is all going ot work out too. Dont want to go buying a house unless we are sure of solid employment. We will probably move to the town I was hoping to move to. Which is half way between here and his job. And if things work out with my plans with the BVR, I'll be going to school there. That remains to be seen though. I'd have to see if I can get a grant or not. If not.. I dont know what for sure I'll be doing. But its all sounding like its going to be a good thing We HOPE!!! I feel like I've got a weight lifted off my shoulders. Hubby's just not been quite himself since he's been out of work. I know he'll be happy again if he gets this job. WHEW!!! Hubby got called by the place that he interviewed with last week.. they want him in for another interview on Thursday at 10:30 am!!!!!!!!!! Ohhhh Cannot wait to hear if he will get this job!! It will mean a fresh start for us in another town... away from my family .. and his too. And if it really works out lol.. I'll have a shower in the house we will move into lol!!! 18and 1/2 yrs of only having a TUB ... and my back and fibro problems.. I think I deserve it!!! LOL
Such a relief!!!!!!!!!!
