Heh, isn't this funny. I'm sitting on my laptop, trying to force myself to study. Yet I 'procrastinate' studying and drift online. And what article do I happen to be reading? Oh, an article about ways to combat procrastination!!

Irony of Procrastination Irony of Procrastination Irony of Procrastination

Although, I guess PsychCentral is a "good" source of internet addiction, versus my previous bad habits. Kinda like my eating binge tonight - yes, I binged. But I binged on vegetables. I ate nearly an entire party-tray of veggies & ranch dip. But hey, that's much better than eating an entire pizza or tub of ice cream, right???!!

Wow, you are doing your CPA exam......I can see why you are procrastinating a bit....that's a lot to focus on.....like the Bar exam for lawyer.

I got my degree in Accounting Information Systems with 4 years of accounting just like an accounting degree but with a focus in computer applications...I know how tough that is information is.

I also remember going through midterms & finals & eating a whole batch of brownies or bag of M&M's while studying........never looked at that as binging at the time. I always did that when I was stressed about school tests......strange thing is that I had so much adrenelin going through me that I didn't gain an ounce. To me, that was just a normal part of studying for tests throughout school. I am 55 years old & it didn't kill me, so I wouldn't worry about it. Other stress ends up making me so sick I can't eat & have had problems with loosing too much weight because of it......always weems there is something when we are in stressful situations.

Best wishes on the successful passing of your CPA exam...just getting to this point is a giant accomplishment & congratulations on that.

Debbie

It's better than smoking which is what I used to do when studying.

And I obsessively read books on how to get organized, but I don't follow the advice given & actually take the steps to get organized. I feel too overwhelmed. Somehow reading about it helps me pretend I will actually do it.--Suzy

Ay yi yi...those veggies were not a good idea. See my post in the Health forum...yikes. Good thing I have a private office and not a cubicle - my coworkers would need gas masks.

Ewww..I'm sure you all wanted to know that!! Lol

And yes, the CPA exam is just as bad as the Bar exam for lawyers, or the Boards for doctors. It is a horrific test. Luckily, now they let you take each section seperately - it used to be you had to spend two whole days taking 8 hours of tests each day! Now they let you spread it out, each section is about 4-5 hours. It's a beast.
