Yesterday... my/our kids finished school for the summer .
It's been a rough year for our entire family in many ways. Looking back there are many things that have gone from really bad to much much better. It's so easy to see all the negative things... but right now I'm so happy to see our son's progress when it comes to his social skills. He's become much more empathetic and helpful. The medicine has a lot to do with him not being as violent anymore... even if he still has his moments. To see how he and his sister have found each other in a totally new way - is just amazing. Now they can even play together for like an hour without anyone getting hurt. WOW!

It's been and still is a lot of hard work... but it's so worth it!

I "hate" Aspergers disorder and ADHD... but I LOVE my son!

Our daughter has been feeling really bad lately due to years of difficulties with her brother. Right now we're trying to see to it that she gets all the support she needs to get harmony to grow inside of her. I love her so so much... and I'll fight for her just as much as we've had to fight for our son's welfare.

I'm probably dealing with the worst time in my life when it comes to my own personal issues... but still I have to lift my vision and see the bright light shining through my lovely kids.

Just thought I'd tell you...

My/Our kids... proud mother

I'm so glad to hear that you are able to reflect back and see where you have all come from and where you are now. Sweet kids! My/Our kids... proud mother

Being a mom is hard work. When our children struggle, it's even harder. I think sometimes though that oftentimes it makes the milestones and achievements that much sweeter.

Thanks for sharing with us!

Thank you all for your sweet and caring replies!!! Several members here on PC have helped me through rough times, by listening to me about my son's issues. THANK YOU!

I can't believe how you can write something rather positive like this one part of the day and the next the worst thing happens.
This was a really horrible evening... big sigh. Well... tomorrow is a brand new day!
