today is our day to go vist friends were we used to live, we spend the afternoon in one friends and then about 4.30 we go across to another friends after they get home from work, while waiting for them today we heard a comotion near by sirens didnt think any more a child screeming, then we heard the air ambulance hoovering near by, so we went out side to see what was going on ,
where we used to live is a dead end and always children playing,
saw a car stopped in road and police activty, saw our friends youngest daughter(16) on the phone somebody shouted that her sister (21) had knocked over a young child

my thoughts go out this young lady as she is in a terable state

the child went off to hospital in the helicopter but we heard that he was fine

she wasnt speading he ran across the road from between his parents cars
as he and his brother and sister have been doing ever since they moved there it was an accident waiting to happen
i myself nearly reversed into the girl of this family

so my thoughts that friends daughter can overcome this and manage to get bk in a car to drive again she takes things to heart, she spoke with police on her own till parents got there and the police took all the nesacery pics and measurments

im glad the child was ok

I caused what could have been a very bad accident when I was a teenager and it took me quite some time to even want to drive again -- and then my dad wouldn't let me near one without him for another 6 months or so. So my thoughts are with the driver especially, but everyone involved. I'm glad it wasn't worse.

I'm so sorry for both of them. I'm so glad that the child is ok. These accidents are terrible for all involved. Children can be so fast sometimes. I'm not trying to lay blame on anyone, but I hope the child's family learns to keep a closer eye on their child. How fortunate that this lesson was not more severe. How unfortunate that poor young woman will have to live with this and what could have happen for the rest of her life. I hope she realizes it is not her fault.
