Hi everyone! I'm brand new to the forums and have been browsing a few and have posted in a few. I notice everyone seems to know everyone, so I'm just trying to get to know people! I'm 25f in Arizona. Just got back online after a few years of withdrawl and my favorite thing about it is chatting and posting in forums (aside from all the cool stuff and info, man I've missed out). Anyway, I hope you all have a good weekend, and for those of you going through tough times ((((((HUGS))))). -----Raynaadi

I'm new here too...about a month. I've posted some and enjoy the forum so much! I've never posted or been involved in a forum before.

I'm trying to get to know others and be part of this community as well. This would be a wonderful thing I think.

Be safe and have a great evening!

Hi there! You can get to know me if ya want!

I'm Angela. I'm 22, from Utah (yes I was raised Mormon, however I'm what you might call a "Jack-Mormon" now. If you would like an explanation of what that means, just ask! lol!) Anyway, yeah.

I'm a college student majoring in psych. I'm as screwed up as everyone else, but hoping to straighten up and fly right- or right enough to help other people out some day anyway! lol!

I am the resident expert on buttspelling, and am also known as "The Buttqueen" (or El Buttqueeno) by many of my friends, so if you have any technical questions as to how to perfect your technique and what officialy qualifies as buttspelling, I'm here for you.

Oh, and I'm completely obsessed with Alanis Morissette's music.

And phobic of fish.

And I have an ant infestation in my apartment that is driving me nuts.

Anything else you wanna know?

Nice meeting you!! Welcome to psychcentral. I think you'll like it here!
Just want to get to know people! Angela

Wow you all posted so quickly! I've been looking all over the place for a good forum site. My mom used to be in one YEARS ago for cancer support. She was so close with the other ladies and they even came here to see her when she was too sick to go the reunion. I've been wanting/needing that. My life has been soooo hard since she died five years ago. Things are slowly looking up, but now I'm struggleing with things that have happened, trying to get passed it all so life with the love of my life isn't so stressful. Just started a business selling billiards t-shirts online, very scary, but if it works, it'll be great! i love pool, mostly 9-ball. I'm a phlebotomist and I love CSI. I'm re-addicted to the internet and that's really all I can think of right now. I think I'm gonna like it here!

I live in NW Arkansas and am a transplant from Nebraska. I have Borderline Personality Disorder which basically means I'm nutso. Anyway I love all things computer related, ER, Nebraska Huskers, and long walks on the beach. LOL. I am on disability for now and hopefully I'll be back in college next fall with a major of Social Work. When I told my pdoc yesterday what my plans were he didn't laugh so I guess that's a good thing.

Hi Raynaadi, welcome to our group! I've been dx'd with Borderline Personality (major, whatever that means) and Bipolar II.

I've also had 4 back surgeries, have titanium through most of my back, trying for disability (about 1 year now), and am in the Midwest.

Hmmmm, let's see. Oh yes, I love reading, esp. horror stories like from Stephen King, and the computer - hopelessly addicted to it.

Glad to meet you. Please post often so we can get to know you.

buttspell (v): to move one's butt in such a way as to spell words in the air.

Yes, Emmy, phobic of fish. Anything about them. Seeing them in aquariums (although if they're tiny, it isn't as bad). Seeing them when someone has gone fishing. Eating them. Seeing them dead in the grocery store. Smelling them. Seeing their tails, fins, eyes, etc. Watching others eat them. Absolutely not or eating touching them.

I totally panic, freak out, have a heart attack. Certain kinds of fish are more disturbing than others.

I'm freaking myself out now, picturing a memory that involved seeing BIG UGLY fish at the pet store, and they came above the surface of the water! And I saw their mouths! Oh yuck!!!

I am going to stop hijacking this thread, and try to distract myself from thoughts of fish now... Just want to get to know people!

p.s. the infestation in my appartment is millions of annoying little black ants that like to hide just long enough to make me think they are gone. then, they sneak up on me. and suddenly they are everywhere and i can't figure out where they are coming from. and then they like to crawl into my backpack. They hide there until i'm sitting in, say, my multicultural psych class, and then come creeping out all over the desk. it's lovely and joyful.

Hey Raynaadi

I'm quite new here too, well not totally new, but i don't post very much and find it hard to keep up with the millions of posts.

I'm 21 female, from London UK. Studying psychology at uni (or will be when I finally return in January to repeat my second year). I was diangosed with clinical depression in April.

Hope you like it here

Wow, I'm finding it hard to keep up with names and diagnoses, infestations, places, quirks, fears, etc. Haha! Who's Greg? My boyfriend's name is Greg. Maybe I should tell a little more about myself. I haven't been diagnosed with anything really. I have a minor heart problem that I take a beta blocker for. I had to go through all kinds of fun tests. It just speeds up, primarily after certain foods. I think I have a sugar problem and am actually going to the doc on Monday. I'm also suffering from numbness on the left side of my body from my back down, which is why I called the doc. My mental problems are numerous. I have so many little ailments as my boyfriend calls them, like irritable bowels down to being tired all the time and dizziness from my heart thing, and what I think is my sugar thing. I'm also still suffering from my mom dying when I was twenty, and for the last 8 months or so, complete sexual dysfunction, which is partly due to a past rape and the depo shot. it's put a lot of strain on my relationship with Greg. He is so wonderful and supportive, but it wears on him, he thinks I don't want him. He was my first love when I was a freshman in high school and we've been friends since. We got back together a little over a year ago. I thought I'd never get him back and I did! Anyway, that's an extreme overview of my current life. Thank you all so much for responding and welcoming me! ***HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF TO FIND FRIENDS!!!!!***
