I'm just not sure where this should go for sure. So it may need to be moved.

For about the last 3 weeks I've notice something funky either going on with my eyes or computer. Not sure which. It only happens when I am scrolling both upwards and downwards. Right in the middle all the way across, I am noticing magnification. The rest of the screens font looks normal. Its just in the middle where it seems more magnified. Is there any technical reason why this would be happening? I've also tried to shut one eye and look and then the other and look and there is no difference that I can tell of. I had a horrible headache yesterday. Not a migraine because I didnt see chrystals or anything like that like normal. Please tell me this is technical lol.

Thanks
Beth

do you have access to a different computer? if so try scrolling down and see if it happens on that one. computer screens can do strange things, some nearly subliminal, and can give you serious headaches. i would try a different computer to see if it is you or the screen first, then you will know how to proceed, doc or computer tech.

Never seen that type of problem but I agree with thelostone. If you can look at another computer screen. I can get a headache from being at the computer too long especially if I don't take breaks.

I would get my eyes checked, just in case. Made me think of macular degeneration or some diabetes problems. Take the Amsler grid test and see if anything appears funky?

Thanks Perna, that's a good spot. (No pun intended.) lol

Sunshine, you don't have to have an aura or prodrome to "prove" it's a migraine. And there are even "no pain" migraines, if you can believe that...where the body still suffers and needs medication. If your head ache was more of a band around your head, or coming up from your neck, it might not have been a migraine though.

Technical or Health? about the technical... though it may reflec how you have your computer settings for when you scroll, telling it what to do with the font/type/text, and an optical illusion only.

Don't know about that but I know you can change the size of the font from your computer options.

Try going to the computer control panel and look for Appearance of Ease of Access options. It may give you options to change the way your screen font size is....may magnify it enough to help your eyes out a little.

Good luck!

and, too, if you have windows and a mouse with a scroll you should be able to hold CNTRL and scroll your mouse in and out on the wheel part, should maginify and shrink the text.
