The community guidelines were updated on 3/29/2006 to clarify linking to other websites (especially your own) in your signature, profile page, or a post.

The community guidelines were updated on 3/10/2005 to clarify that copyrighted images and photos found on other sites cannot be used here without the express permission of the author. Thank you.

The community guidelines were updated on 11/21/2006 to clarify the Use of Intellectual Property:

All users, visitors and members who access this forum agree not to copy and paste, quote, print-out, distribute, or otherwise use a member's postings or other contributions to the community on another website, blog, or service (including Psych Central's free user blogs) without first obtaining the expressed written consent and permission of the author to do so via a PM or email.

The community guidelines were updated on 3/12/2007 to add that you should follow the requests and directives of moderators and administrators. This was generally understood previously, but has now been made explicit.

The community guidelines were updated on 3/20/2007 to add the following new guideline: Pedophiles, rapists, and others that have abused another individual physically, emotionally or sexually (whether imagined, real, acted-upon or not, and/or convicted), are not welcomed here because our focus is on support for victims of such abuse. The two are not compatible with one another.

The community guidelines were updated on 6/25/2008 to add the list of moderators and administrators.
