It's been a while since I've posted, but I thought I'd drop in and say hi... maybe give a little update on where I'm at. I think that the last time I had dropped in, I had just bought my house and gotten my dog.

I had to get rid of the dog Why hello! for two reasons. She was jumping the fence and I didn't have the money to put up an 8 foot fence. She ended up in a rescue, though, so she's safe. The other reason is that I am getting married, and had some concerns because my better half has 4 boys. They are 9, 7, 3, and 2... and they ADORE me. I met her about 13 years ago when we both worked together. We were good friends for a couple years, but I left for the Navy. I hadn't seen her for ten years, and they we ran into each other at church... and the rest is history.

We're getting married on Feb 8, and we're both extremely excited as are the boys. Three years ago I never thought I'd be here. Thanks to everyone that helped me through the hard times!

Hi Ryan! Wow, it sounds like things are really going well for you! Congrats on the "instant" family and marriage. You sure are going to have your hands full with 4 boys running through the house. I wish you nothing but the best!

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. Like I said, I'm very excited. Three years ago I was living in a crap hole and all I could think about was wanting to die. These days, even before the better half came along, I wake up smiling and singing praise. God has truly blessed me, and I just have to turn it back to Him in praise. None of this is my doing. I just never thought happiness like this existed. It SOOOO does when you let go of wanting to feel bad.
