Myself I have done just as much pissed off IRL ,, that maybe too much 411 / 118 118 >.... get my drift ?

So most the time as peeps do private ,,, more so than not it is regulateing thoughts and grounding thereselfs or each other .

I hope this helps explain the reason why Password rooms are used ... At least these are my reasons >>. As password rooms go >..

I presume someone had a question about this and you're giving background to it?

Sure, passworded private chat rooms are for those reasons, and I think they are good reasons. Sometimes it is to exclude certain elements, sometimes it's just to include only certain elements of conversation.

There certainly can be many reasons why folks password protect a private chat room. For any of us to assume what that reason may be, is risking assuming the wrong reason.

If someone wants to have a private conversation within the private chatroom realm it is completely up to them and within their rights to do so, without be subjected anyone's assumptions, good or bad.

I think that sometimes when you really need a conversation with someone to talk about a stressful or sensitive topic you need a place to do it in safety and privacy.

This is what happened to me. Chats can be over-whelming and move to fast sometimes. Plus chats can be over stimulating with so many well intending people giving information.

Hope I said this "ok", with out hurting any one's feelings.

We do have to remember that this is a mental health support site, and most of the members here are here because disordered thinking negatively affects their lives. That might be reflected through any assumptions made about why anyone is in a private chat. As password rooms go >..

I also have been in a password room because some of us just wanted to joke around and someone needed and was getting help in an open room. It wasn't fair to those people, who had serious business with each other, for us to carry on.

Joking can be risky with any psych central members one doesn't know very well; so much can be taken the wrong way. We just wanted to let off a little steam.

As password rooms go >.. It's good for the social room too, humor that is. We have to be more careful about the topics and such going on in the lobby...not do heavy support around one person or do too much "socializing" there. As password rooms go >..

But I appreciate those whose humor is a bit more "bathroom type" than I care for, if they get their own "room" As password rooms go >..
