11 years ago I had a simple operation to my left wrist, the Doctor that did the operation cut a branch of my radial nerve. I now have a deform hand 38% disability to my left arm and 24/7 neurological pain. I suffer Major Depression, anxiety and I'm on so much medication that has made it hard to be able to drive and rely totally on my husband for everything. I find it hard to be in public places.....would much rather stay home and do my tapestry, at less I can do that 1 handed.

Hi leanneknust, I am so sorry about your wrist. My mom struggles with chronic pain, so I can somewhat relate to what you are going through...watching her struggle has been difficult for me. I am glad you joined us here on Psychcentral. I hope you find the support you need....

Hi all here is my story

My mom had brain surgery once.
In order to remove the tumor, te surgeon told her that she would have to lose hearing in one of her ears (unfortunately for us, it was on the one side everone lkes to talk to her on) only later on did we realise he was a quack and she probably could have had it removed without the hearing loss. Oh well. Hi all here is my story

A few of my realatives have that kind of pain because of an exposd nerve, for my grandma, it's described as having appendicitis 24/7

wow, I am going in for surgery in a couple of weeks. It's not anything major, but it doesn't sound like yours was either at first.

I was trying not to be nervous.
