not sure where to post this so if you guys think it needs to go elsewhere please move it.
I got so scared today I thought I would either have a heart attack or pass out or maybe both. my hubby and I went to visit a friend of ours. they use to go to our church. we were sitting there having a really good conversation when I looked up to see their youngest little girl standing in front of me with snakes in her hands. I started screaming. I could not catch my breath either. she was not right in front of me like within arms reach or anything but I swear it sure looked like it to me at the time. I could not move. this has been a couple of hours ago or more now and I am still not feeling well. lightheaded and feeling very strange. good thing I didn't have to go potty or her sofa would be very wet right now. anyone else react this way over stuff like this? am I abnormal?

sounds like you have a snake phobia, i have reacted that way to spiders. and now you are still suffering from the anxiety. no you are not abnormal. lost

That must have been so difficult for you. I'm so sorry to hear how anxious and scared you got at that. I'll bet your reaction kind of scared you a bit too didn't it? Anything I can do to help you calm...just let me know ok? Gentle  sabby |

Oh, yeah, snakes wig me out. I have actually passed out after seeing one. Generally, I run screaming and try to find a place high where I (imagine) the snake can't get me. I have ended up on top of cars and stuff like that. It is kinda embarrassing. I can't even watch them on tv or look at pics of them without having a reaction...

whew! yes I do believe I have a huge phobia. I can watch them on tv or even in an aquarium where they can't get out the this little girl had them out! I could not get up off the sofa to run anywhere! it really made me weak the rest of the afternoon. *sigh*

I'm glad you're feeling better now bebop.
And reading how you said you mis-spelled scared - a week ago or so I saw 'scared' mis-spelled as 'sacred' somewhere, it looked quite funny, lolol.
