Wow!!! Shar and I met on Saturday in Austin, Texas!!! I got to stand outside the cafe and hold up a sign saying "looking for another short lady".......nah, just kidding. We had a wonderful visit and I am much enriched by getting to talk to her and compare our "stories".......I truly encourage all to take a chance, if you get it, to meet someone you're posting with. It was a great addition to a super Thanksgiving!!!

That's so cool! I was hoping I would have a longer layover in Orlando, so I might meet a fellow Babbler, but there was not enough time. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I love the new pic!

Oh, YEAH!! Lemme tell you about this Fayerody!!
She is 5'10" tall, long brown shiny bouncy hair, a beauty with a tan, and fully 20 years younger than me! She has been deceptive this whole time!! She is smart as a whip, funny as all get out, has a great accent (Okie), and she even gave me this picture of her (which is signed on the back). I think it was for a magazine layout or something! I was looking for this little old lady, and in walks this goddess! Sheesh! I hope I have her wisdom if I'm ever 32 again! lololol! Shar p.s. ok, I don't know how to upload the image. Sorry. The 'image' function here is for http stuff and I scanned this one into my computer. Drat. Maybe more later. Or, it may come out beside my name or something. Anyway, it's Fayerody in her natural state. |

It was wonderful meeting Shar........She has cleavage and everything.....had on a long strapless black dress and stilletto heels....did the whole "who's your vamp?" number, right there in the cafe~~~~~and the cleavage really bothered me. i've never had it....i'm cleavage impaired!!!!!!! kidding again! we dressed appropriately, for our ages.......she listened to my current problems concerning my granddaughter and had good input...wish i'd had her with me the next day when i did my full frontal confrontation with the villian.....

It's one of the nicest things I've ever done for myself! Meeting Shar
 was so good. The fact that I tower over here doesn't hurt either!!

That is SO awesome. I too just recently got to meet someone ive been talking to online for 3 years. We met on a message board 3 years ago and have talked every day and night since. When we met, it was like we had been best friends forever. Im so glad it worked out well with your internet friend.

oh my lord!!! coming to Oklahoma to shop?????? although Tulsa is a very cool town.......much prefer it over OKC. cool stores......i'm in the southwestern part of the state.........
and as for towering over Shar.....no one picked that one up.....she's 4'11 and i'm 5'.........i felt ever the giant goddess!!! |

I'm a little late getting to this thread, but I think it's fabulous that y'all got to meet. I have been fortunate enough to meet in person quite a few online friends, and it's always such a great time.
I once had this notion of driving cross country, stopping to visit all my online buds along the way. Maybe some day, when I have more vacation time from work, I will get to do it. Anyway, sounds like you guys had a terrific time, and I'm so happy that you got to connect in person. Jo

Faye, can you find the "menu" that sez Main Index, Chat, Inbox, My Profile, etc??? OK, one of the selections is "PHOTOS" and that's where I put your photo, you lil debil, you...... I know what you're doing..... Hiding your light under a barrel! Man, I get so tired of talking women down from that! And, you're so young! How did you ever get THAT notion?? lololol. OK, I still smile, too, and someday we may have to tell the truth about our meeting. But, I still think mentioning the stilettos was uncalled for! Waiting patiently for you to get here, Shar |
