On our TO-DO list today is the moving of the photo gallery, reviews and quizzes.

We also have a lot of re-integration issues, such as adding the badges back in and ensuring that all the style sheets are fixed. Right now we'll be focusing on the forum default style and getting it up-to-speed. Once that style is completely done and fixed, we'll go in and fix the others.

We also have to find the smilies! They're supposed to be here (and in fact, you can continue to use them as you always have, the list is just buried at the moment.. there's a link to the smilies at the bottom of the post page).

While we're doing all of this today (Hey, it is LABOR day, right?! ), what you can do is go into your profile page and update/edit your details and address book (most of which did not make it over in the move).

You can even log into the old forums to grab this information if you don't remember it:

http://oldforums.psychcentral.com/

We only ask that you try and do this before Wednesday though as we do need to shut those old bad boys down...

Thank you for your extreme patience and support during this lengthy process!

Best,
DocJohn

It appears we have to now identify ourselves as male or female. Correct?

Also, the clock is wrong. It is not 12:26 PM EDT.

Sorry, the gender thing is fixed.

You can fix your Time Zone settings here:

http://forums.psychcentral.com/profi...do=editoptions

(It didn't import people's time zones, so yours are likely not right.)

You can change that pachyderm and you have the option to hide it too.

I did not see how to change birth date... :Scratch-Head:

There must be an easier way to add smilies...

To change birth date... Click on My Profile, and then click on Edit your Details.

First thing I did was go in & update my profile as I realized many things were wrong there & also just wanted to check out how it was set up.....that was when I found all the empty/ wrong information. Not a problem here.....already taken care of including my time zone.......initially wondered where I really was anymore....then realized it was my time zone that was off...lol. At 4 am in the morning....it's a wonder I figured that out.....lol.

Love it, Love it, love it.....good job doc John

I saw the option somewhere but right now I don't remember where. LOL Have patience and study close. You'll find things. I did last night and it was late so we can do it while the day is relatively new today.

Suddenly there is now this above the messages (actually it is above EVERYTHING -- new posts, PMs, everything):

I have that too and I'm sure the view will be corrected ASAP.

Thank you!

Anyone who is seeing the same view, please clear your cache or hit "shift + reload page" in mozilla or "control + reload page" in IE.

That should clear it up. It did for me.

Clear your cache or hit super reload (which clears your browser cache on the fly):

Firefox: SHIFT + Reload button
IE: CONTROL + Reload button

Progress update...

1. Saved Quizzes are done and now show up in the left-hand menu under "My Profile."
2. Photo Gallery is done and online (templates need tweaking)
3. User reviews are done and online (templates need tweaking)
4. Old forum navigation menu bar is now available in the PC default template
5. Chat rooms are fully functional and online

thanks, docjohn, for enabling the function to view first unread with threads.

everyone, i know it was mentioned before somewhere that we had to read through entire post to get to the new ones we hadn't seen.

if you'll notice, there's a little down arrow beside the title of threads already viewed. if you click that down arrow, it will take you to the first one you haven't read.

voila!

KD

Smilies are now available in both the regular reply (to the side of the reply box) and in Quick Reply (there's a little smilie drop down menu with the most popular and a link to all of them).

Badges are back (whether you like 'em or not!). Oh, and "SuperPoster!" refers to people who contribute a great many posts (even if they've only been here a short time)... it's a simple formula based upon the ratio of posts to time and just denotes people who are frequent posters.

A few minor updates and edits to various files. Because they may not update on their own in your web browser, you may want to close your browser down or hit that super reload that clears your cache at some point to ensure you're seeing the full functionality.

We're nearly done with the default PC template. Once we feel comfortable with the way it's functioning, we'll replicate all the changes out to the other templates later today...

All style sheets have been updated with all of the functionality of the PC default stylesheet, so feel free to use whichever you'd like.

Tomorrow we'll put back the mood display...
